A published article becomes part of the archive of knowledge and should for this reason remain extant and intact. To retract an article is therefore problematic, and will only happen under the following circumstances in order to protect the integrity of the journal.
The General Editor will determine the need for retraction, but an author may request a retraction with sufficient proof (i.e. flawed data or conclusions) that necessitates such retraction.
The General Editor will publish a notice of retraction that will:
- include the title and authors of the article, the reason for the retraction and who is retracting the article;
- be published online and be linked to the online version of the article;
- be published in the next print issue and be included in the table of contents of that issue.
